Well, many Mac bittorrent clients don't support RSS feeds. Miro does- admittedly, a little bit more than a Bittorrent client, since it's a video/audio manager/player, but it does support bittorrent over RSS.
This is a good solution, mind, but I've been using Bittorrent over RSS on my Mac for awhile now.
//Internet tivo FTW!

Miro doesnt work with all feeds for ex. feedmytorrents.com https://skyeyiv470.weebly.com/generate-new-api-key-themeforest.html.
I have been using Automatic (http://codingcurious.com/automatic/) for several months, and have been very pleased with it.
Seconded. Preference pane that just downloads podcast RSS feeds in the background. Wonderful.
Imagine learning download for mac windows 7. wow had no clue about this. thanks!
What about Azureus / Vuze ? I've been using that for years and it's got a few RSS plugins available. https://mediagroupyellow529.weebly.com/trade-tiger-download-for-mac.html.

I have a nearly identical automator workflow for this! I should've posted it long ago and maybe saved you some time.
1. Get Feeds From Safari
2. Filter Articles (with various filters)
Media shuttle plugin download mac. 3. Mark Articles (as read)
4. Get Enclosure URLs from Articles
5. Download URLs
6. Open Finder Items
A few caveats:
- it seems that when my workflow runs, any full-screen video becomes windowed (netflix/hulu/itunes).
- I also seem to have to run Safari at least once after the computer starts up in order for the RSS feed to update.
I can put up a link to my version if anyone is lazy or wants a jumping off point, just reply to my comment if you're interested.

For videos, Miro is an easier solution.

You should do some more research_ this can be accomplished thru BOTH Vuze from Azureus and current versions of Firefox as it supports a Torrent plugin and has builtin RSS support_
I know several people that use each method_

cool!
I use an easier method to accomplish the same thing.
1. Subscribe to torrent feed in NetNewsWire
2. Set NetNewsWire to automatically download enclosures to a particular folder.
3. Set Torrent client (I use Transmission) to watch that folder and automatically open torrent file.

You big silly -- you're using the desktop environment to accomplish something that could be accomplished by 'buying into' a single, monolithic application! Your method is just sucking up to those Unix philosophies the OS was built upon! https://newkc540.weebly.com/print-audit-6-mac-download.html.
RSS and Automator newbie here. I'm trying to understand this:
Get Specified Finder Items: Safari and TransmissionOk, got it.
Open Finder Items -- to launch both appsOk.
Get Feeds From Safari: check the Only return feeds with unread entries box.Can you please elaborate? You lost me here, I can't find where to do this in Safari.
Filter Articles: Any conditions are true, with one condition of Status -- is -- unread.Again, you lost me. When I open the RSS tab with my subscribed RSS's in them, I don't see these filter options.
Mark Articles: Status = ReadDo you mean you are clicking on the right hand side of the Safari RSS reader under 'Actions' where it says 'Mark all as read?'
Get Link URLs From Articles: uncheck the Only return URLs in the same domain box.How are you accomplishing this?
Display Webpages???
Oops, I found where you were doing this. Automator, not Safari. Nevermind my questions, I think I understand it now.
The German translation of the Automator workflow is:
Angegebene Finder-Objekte abfragen
Finder Objekte öffnen
Feeds von Safari abfragen
Artikel filtern
Artikel markieren
Verknüpfte URLs von Artikel abfragen
Webseiten anzeigen
